Instructor Kim developed this program drawing from her skills in various Kickboxing styles, not to mention a 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo.
Goals of the program include improved flexibility, core strength, endurance and solid Kickboxing technique.
Not to be confused with a glorified aerobics class, the Kickboxing techniques including punching, kicking, elbow strikes, knee strikes, proper guard, and footwork are instructed with emphasis on real technique. This is important in developing timing, accuracy and power while avoiding injury due to improper technique.
Instructor Kim’s class will include training 5 timed rounds of both Kickboxing and intermittent core strengthening exercises to get you in the best condition possible.
With her approach, if you ever choose to take a traditional class in Martial Arts, or perhaps try some MMA, you will not need to change bad habits which come from being allowed to work technique improperly over and over. Also, if you ever need to defend yourself, you will be able to strike effectively!
